Tom Weis is an Assistant Professor in the Industrial Design department at the Rhode Island School of Design. Working with both graduate and undergraduate students, courses include such topics as ergonomics, sustainable materials, advanced fabrication and prototyping techniques. A co-founder of the design firm Hello, we are and the Steel House, his work has been featured in the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum’s 2010 Triennial, Metropolis Magazine, the New York Times and Time Magazine’s Best Inventions. In 2014 Tom co-founded the Steel House and has developed education programs, community partnerships and product design services.
